The Sheriff runs the jail, logs each booking, and keeps arrest files. The Iron County Jail was built in 1987 and is one of the oldest jails in the state still in use. A new 672 inmate facility is under way and should open by 2026. Until then, the old jail holds all new Iron County recent bookings.

Filing a GRAMA Request
